Composition
Active components are:
- Ginkgoflavone glycosides or ginkgo heterosides: quercetine, kaempferol and isorhamnetine
- Several terpene molecules unique to ginkgo (ginkgolides and bilobalide)
- Organic acids
Actions
Tissue Effects: Membrane-stabilising, antioxidant and free radical scavenging effects. Quercetine is a more potent antioxidant than vitamin C. Enhances the utilisation of oxygen and glucose.
Vascular effects: Improves blood circulisation and reduces capillary permeability.
Platelet effects: Inhibition of platelet aggregation.
Stimulates Lipolysis: Lipase activation.
Indications
hair loss, cellulitis and mesolift anti ageing.
Dosage
Some studies used the dosage of 80mg two to three times a day (240mg daily oral administration) without side effect.
5ml Bilobine-G contains 200mg Ginkgo Biloba extract.
Toxicity
Ginkgo Biloba extracts are extremely safe and side-effects are very uncommon. No reports have beeen found in literature about eventual overdosage side effects.
