Pharmacology

Hyaluronic acid (HA)is a naturally occuring polyanionic carbohydrate, more specifically a glycosaminoglycan (mucopolysaccharide). This long-chained polysaccharide is made up of pepeating disaccharides units. It is unbranched and contains from 50 to several thousand disaccharides units.

Actions

HA is a natural substance present in the intermollecular matrix of most vertebrate connective tissues. Although HA can be found in the skin tissue that contains 50% of whole body HA. In skin tissue, hyaluronic acid is a jelly-like substance that fills the space between collagen and elastin fibres.

Indications

Mesolift, aged and dehydrated skin, skin refilliny and 'cushioning'

Toxicity

It is biocompatible and non-immunogenic, well tolerated, safe and efficacious.
